#67 {Grow out my hair and donate to Locks of Love}

I am growing out my hair for the full 1001 days of this challenge, and at the end of it will donate my hair to Locks of Love. Here is a pic of what my hair looks like now...I have awhile to go until it's long enough to donate!

#5 {Delete Myspace}

#5 is completed! I have officially deleted my Myspace account. I never use it anyway, and I'm tired of the sleezy ads.

$5 has been deposited in a savings account for completing this goal

#27 {Learn to bake something new every month}

So even though there was no baking required, I still count this as part of my goal. So what if I didn't use the oven, I still made something delicious! With the stormy weather we've had today, I thought it was the perfect time to make homemade hot cocoa. Here's the recipe as taken from my sister's blog.

  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa (Dutch-process preferred)
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper, or more to taste
  • Hot water

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and incorporate evenly. In a small pot, heat 4 to 6 cups of water.

Fill your mug a little less than half full with the mixture and pour in hot water. Stir to combine. Seal the rest in an airtight container, keeps indefinitely in the pantry. This also works great with warm milk.**You may also want to add a little more sugar to your mix. Make sure you try a bit and check it out for your taste buds.
